Frequently asked questions about Bigfoot
General
What kind of Internet connection should I have to use Bigfoot?
Bigfoot's performance is in part determined by the speed of your connection to the Internet. Smartware Group recommends that, as a minimum, you should have a Cable-Modem, DSL-Modem, ISDN, or T1-T3 connection.
For more information, please see our Tech Specs.
How much does Bigfoot cost?
Pricing varies based on the number of "users" and "requesters" that will be using the system. More users result in lower costs. Speak with an Account Executive for a quote.
What are the different types of 'users' in Bigfoot?
Bigfoot CMMS has 3 types if users: Regular, Requestor and Worker
'Regular' Users:
- * A user who will use all or part of the features within Bigfoot CMMS. The areas they can use is dependent on their permissions, typically set by the "Global Administrator".
- * This type of user will have a personalized profile, their own login and password.
- * Each individual regular user is charged separately.
- * Users cannot share logins – if another attempts, they will force existing same user to logoff.
'Requestor' Users:
- * These users have access to a limited set of features within Bigfoot CMMS: they can make a "request" and check the status of previously submitted requests.
- * This type of user will have a personalized profile, their own login and password.
- * Each individual requestor user is charged separately. Their fee is a small fraction of a regular user.
- * Users can share logins. Often customers will purchase these types of users by "department". The main ramification is that these users become "anonymous". There will be no way to verify precisely where the request came from if not a true individual user.
'Worker' Users:
- * These types of people do not actually have access to the system. They have no login nor password.
- * These "workers" are setup within Bigfoot CMMS so a "regular user" can assign work orders. An example would be outside contractors. Typically anyone who you might hand a printed WO or email could be a "worker".

- Providing our staff with remote access to setup the environment
- High-speed Internet access at server and desktops
