Basic information on technical specifications (Internet)
Wherever executives, maintenance supervisors and employees, contractors, and requesters have access to an Internet browser they have access to Bigfoot.
The Internet version of Bigfoot is a 100% Web-based application that:
- Requires NO installation on client machines
- Does not involve using Java applets, Active-X objects, plug-ins, or proprietary code running on your computer.
- Was built using standard Microsoft Web Technologies with .NET 2.0 Framework and utilizes Microsoft's SQL Server 2005.
- Can be deployed using Smartware Group’s hosted solution or using a customer-hosted solution (special conditions apply).
Minimum Client Workstation
- Computer with a 486/66-MHz processor or higher (Pentium processor recommended)
- Super VGA (800 x 600) or higher-resolution monitor with 256 colors
- Of course, the more memory the better, and a faster CPU will perform better.
- Internet Explorer 6.0 or higher Click to see IE6 System specs. Note: we use Crystal Reports for many of our reports/printing. You may need to change some browser settings to allow this to print.
- RAM requirements depend on the operating system used.
Internet Connection Required
Cable Modem or any first-rate connection as long as your access to the Internet is typically good. Internet Explorer 6.0 +
Smartware Group does not currently recommend the use of satellite Internet connections.
